Camping Bliss
But life isn't
always sparkling creeks and gorgeous views. An hour before this moment I was in
the car being thrown around by the bumpy dirt roads. We had been searching for
the perfect spot to go camping with our friends, but everywhere we looked was
packed with people. In search of isolation, we continued our rough car ride for
a few hours.
Stepping out into the clearing surrounded by looming pine trees and
the gentle sound of the creek, the miserable car ride seemed to melt away. We
unpacked our things and set out to explore the area before our friends joined
us. Through the marsh, over logs, and into the creek we went. With our pants
hiked up high, we enjoyed every second... I wonder if we hadn't endured the
painful car ride to find that perfect spot, stepping out into the woods to enjoy
God's creation might have felt less rewarding.
